In our first five months
of operation we’ve come a long way and
sold more tickets to more events than we’d
expected to sell in our first two years –
so thank you to all our customers and promoters
for making us the fastest growing e-Ticket
site on the web!
As a new service, we are constantly seeking
and receiving valuable feedback on the way
we operate. One point that is frequently raised
is our fees. Very few doubt that we offer
one of the cheapest ways to buy e-tickets
for your favourite club event, but we have
been asked if there is a way we can simplify
the way we charge for the service. So we have.
Instead of separating out our booking fee
and the payment processing fee (the fee that
we are charged for charging your debit/credit
card), we have now introduced one simple flat
fee per ticket of just £1.30. You won’t
be charged a separate payment processing fee.
And unlike some others we could mention, we
don’t charge for post and packaging,
special delivery, venue collection, a late
booking fee or (in the case where an event
has been cancelled) a refund handling fee!
We’ve always been transparent with
our pricing anyway, but we believe our new
ALL INCLUSIVE booking fee will mean it’s
much easier to know how much you’ll
be paying way before you reach our check-out.
Sometimes we are asked why we charge any
fees at all. And what will the new inclusive
£1.30 booking fee of actually cover?
Quite simply, it’s a contribution to
our cost of providing the service. Payment
processing fees are surprisingly expensive.
A typical £15 charge to a credit card,
for example, costs us a staggering £0.72p,
not to mention the cost of our secure servers,
licence fees, staff, website maintenance and
development, the list goes on.
There will be some events that don’t
have a booking fee – these will generally
be FREE events, or where the proceeds are
for charity, or where we have come to a special
agreement with the promoter to incorporate
the booking fee within the ticket price.
